Y ahora la pregunta que pasa si congelamos un reloj. ¿Se deterioran los aceites?

The movement is actually not the problem at all. Modern oil has a wide band of use from -40°C to +80°C with standard viscosity. The problem with freezing the watch into ice is the case , the crystal and the seals. When water is freezing and changes into ice , then a loss of pressure will be created. The ice has a larger volume then water , during freezing it does expand. The steel and the crystal has different behavior , different expansion under the temperature influence. A watch being frozen in ice does first show its strength and reliability under extreme conditions. I just liked to test the DIVER 2000 in this way and take a nice picture.
Que más o menos nos dice que el mayor problema es para la caja, el cristal y las juntas sellantes, debido al cambio de hielo a agua. Los aceites que se usan actualmente aguantan de -40ºC a +80ºC.
