Watchmaker Parmigiani has presented, Januray 2, 2012 in New York its new model. This is an extraordinary wristwatch Toric Oval, continuing the tradition of British pocket watch Vardon & Stedmann of the last century.

This watch is unique, first of all, by its telescopic hands that increase or decrease its length, fitting into oval shape of the dial and case. Hour and minute hands are shortened to 3 and 9 o'clock, and the maximum length of the stretch at 6 and 12 hours. This curious feature of the telescopic hands allows you to always keep the same distance to the edges of the watch dial Toric Oval.

Unique watch Toric Oval has released so far only in one copy, which transfers to funds Sandoz. However, we know that it is planned the production of limited edition 30 pieces in different color versions of the watch (white or pink gold).

This watch with telescopic hands works on the base of PF Caliber 111 mechanism having an 8-day power reserve. Thanks to so solid stock the machinery can push and cut the hands without significant loss of energy for the diurnal variation.

The watch Toric Oval will appear in retail stores next month. One can buy this watch for 95 000 dollars.
