The Giga Tourbillon is a breathtaking timepiece that received widespread attention in 2011 and a truly exceptional model that required high-precision development. The Research & Development Department of the “Franck MullerTM” Manufacture were able to use their expertise to accomplish this technical feat.

“Franck MullerTM” is thus honoured to be presenting its Giga Tourbillon Round Skeleton exclusively at the 2012 World Presentation of Haute Horlogerie (WPHH).

Fitted with a tourbillon measuring 20 mm in diameter and occupying half the watch, this timepiece enjoys a classic and refined design thanks to its round silhouette and skeletonised details. The movement has been reversed, the bridges placed on the dial side, the hoursetting and winding section located on the case-back side and the hours hand positioned on top of the minutes hand.

To ensure a 10-day power reserve, displayed at midday (traditional winding by the crown), the Giga Tourbillon has been equipped with four barrels instead of the usual one or two that characterise traditional tourbillons. These barrels, with a diameter of 16 mm, are 4 mm wider than traditional ones, providing the almost constant force needed to operate the Giga Tourbillon.

With this technically astounding model, the “Franck MullerTM” Manufacture affirms its mastery of Swiss watchmaking traditions in the exceedingly complex domain of grandes complications.

Devoid of its dial and in a round version, the Giga Tourbillon Round Skeleton unveils a unique design that is both modest and impressive.

Que volante más chulo.... y con 10 dias de reserva de marcha, eso es una cosa que en mi opinión puede ser contraproducente, a no ser que tengas un indicador como los Panerai, a mi se me pasaría darle cuerda.
