Mi duda es si podemos meternos en el agua y nadar con un 3 atm. como este MWC.

Ni se te ocurra mojarlo, en plan broma se dice que 30 m es la distancia que debe separarlo del agua.

A priori decirte que TODOS los relojes son sumergibles...... Lo que pasa es que después unos funcionan y otros no. Yo creo que éste es de los segundos. Lavarte las manos y poco más.

Respuesta corta: NO.

Ese reloj tiene la impermeabilidad justa para evitar averías por condensación, acumulación de porquería (que podría entrar dentro del reloj) y sudor, es decir casi la mínima que ofrece un reloj comercial hoy en día.

Pero lo que sí puedes hacer es "bañarlo" habitualmente, es decir cada vez que se llene de mugre por el uso continuado (algo que sucede mucho en verano cuando te pones un reloj de estos con una NATO, pega el sol que no veas, y después de un día entero llegas a casa con la NATO y el reloj a tope de porquería) pues le retiras la NATO, preparas un recipiente con agua mineral (o agua filtrada) templada con un poco fairy antibacterias PH neutro, y con un cepillo de dientes suave, sumerges el reloj y lo vas limpiando. Lo mismo con la NATO.

El reloj lo limpias en cinco minutos, la mugre sale facilísimamente con el agua templada, no rayas el reloj para nada y luego aclaras con agua filtrada o mineral, lo dejas secar en un papel de cocina, y ¡ya tienes reloj nuevo!, limpio, desinfectado y desodorizado :ilove:

En cuanto a la NATO, si está muy sucia, la dejas en remojo diez o quince minutos y le pegas un par de repasos con el cepillo de dientes y lo mismo, luego la aclaras bien y la dejas secar en el tendedero de ropa y ya verás, ¡como nueva! :ilove:

Si es que lo mejor de los relojes militares es la facilidad que tienen para la higiene, por eso para mí al menos es fundamental que tengan una buena impermeabilidad.

Que sea WR 30m indica que es un reloj de infantería, si fuera para la NAVY sería WR 200m por lo menos (y el precio sería substancialmente mayor naturalmente).

1 Scope

This International Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for watches designated as "water-resistant" and marked accordingly, with or without an additional indication of an overpressure.

lt does not apply to divers’ watches, which are specified in ISO 6425[1]

2 Normative reference

The following Standard contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this International Standard. At the time of publication, the edition indicated was valid. All Standards are subject to revision, and Parties to agreements based on this International Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent edition of the Standard indicated below. Members of IEC and ISO maintain registers of currently valid International Standards.

3 Designation

Watches bearing the designation "water-resistant" with or without an additional indication of an overpressure are intended for ordinary daily use and are resistant to water during exercises such as swimming for a short period. They may be used under conditions where water pressure and temperature vary. However, whether they bear an additional indication of overpressure or not, they are not intended for submarine diving.

4 Requirements

Watches bearing the designation "water-resistant" shall comply with the requirements given in either 4.1 and 4.3, or in 4.2 and 4.3.

4.1 Resistance to air overpressure

The flow rate of air shall not exceed 50 μg/min.

Testing shall be carried out in accordance with 6.2.1.

4.2 Resistance to water overpressure

There shall be no condensation visible on the inside surface of the glass after conducting the condensation test given in 6.2.2 before and after the tests given in 6.2.3 to 6.2.6.

4.3 Resistance against temperature and mechanical stress

There shall be no condensation visible on the inside surface of the glass after conducting the condensation test given in 6.2.2 before and after the tests given in 6.2.3 to 6.2.5.

5 Sampling

This International Standard may be applied for piece-by-piece inspection or by sampling. In this case, sampling shall be carried out in accordance with ISO 2859-1.

The tests specified in 6.2.3, 6.2.4 and 6.2.5 are compulsory on at least one Sample of the examined lot.

6 Testing

6.1 Test conditions

6.1.1 Before testing, the operative Parts shall be operated and set back to their normal position.

6.1.2 Throughout the period of testing, the ambient temperature shall be between 18 degrees C and 25 degrees C. The water temperature shall be equal to the ambient temperature except for the test given in 6.2.5 .

6.2 Test procedures

The sequence of the tests is optional. The condensation test shall be conducted before the test given in 6.2.3 and at the end of the test sequence.

Condensation tests between each specified test are optional.

6.2.1 Resistance to air overpressure

Subject the watch to an air overpressure of 2 bar[2] and measure the flow rate of air entering the case.

NOTE 1 Comparable test procedures, for example using inert gases, are permitted.

Watches showing a flow rate of air greater than 50 μg/min do not satisfy the requirements of 4.1, and shall not be subjected to the subsequent tests.

6.2.2 Condensatlon test

Place the watch on a heating cushion controlled at 40 degrees C to 45 degrees C until the temperature of the watch is equal to that of the heating cushion (usually, a heating time of 10 min to 20 min is sufficient, depending on the type of watch). Place a drop of water of 18 degrees C to 25 degrees C on the watch glass.

After about 1 min, wipe the glass with a dry rag.

The watch presenting condensation on the inside surface of the glass does not satisfy the requirements of 4.2.

If the watch case was closed in a humidity saturated atmosphere, the condensation test may result in a type of condensation which is not caused by a possible lack of water-tightness of the watch case. lf this occurs, the watch shall be dried and shall be resubjected to the condensation test.

6.2.3 Resistance when immersed in water at a depth of 10 cm

Immerse the watch in water at a depth of (10 +/- 2) cm and leave it for 1 h.

6.2.4 Resistance of operative parts

Immerse the watch in water at a depth of 10 cm for 5 min, and apply a forc of 5 N perpendicular to the axis of the crown and buttons. See figure 1.



6.2.5 Resistance to different temperatures

Immerse the watch at a depth of 10 cm successively

- in water at 40 degrees C for 5 min;
- in water at 20 degrees C for 5 min;
- in water at 40 degrees C for 5 min;

The transfer time between the immersions shall not exceed 1 min.

6.2.6 Resistance to water overpressure

lmmerse the watch completely in an adequate container filled with water. Within 1 min, apply an overpressure equivalent to the indicated value (see 7.2), or to 2 bar in case where no additional indication is given. Maintain this pressure for 10 min. Then reduce the overpressure to the ambient pressure
within 1 min.

7 Marking

7.1 Terms

Watches which satisfy the requirements specified in clause 4 shall be marked with one of the following terms in the appropriate language:

- English: water-resistant
- French: étanche
- Russian: водокепроницаемые
- German: wasserdicht
- Japanese: 防水腕時計
- Chinese: 防水

For the above languages only the expression given
shall be used. Equivalent expressions are permitted
for other languages, but one only per language.

7.2 Additional Indication

In addition to the term "water resistant", watches may be marked wifh an indication of the test overpressure given as a pressure in bar (at least 2 bar) or in the sense of a Substitute as a depth in metres (at least 20 m). These indications however do not correspond to a diving depth but refer to the pressure at which the water overpressure test was conducted.

Estos son algunos criterios de impermeabilidad.
3 Atm, no te garantiza poder hacer lo que dices, sin riesgo, en ninguna de las Normas. Solo Omega lo admite, y supongo que será en sus relojes.

Así pues, para nadar en mar o piscina, ¿lo mínimo 10 atm?

Un reloj 3 atm, ¿se puede meter bajo el grifo para lavarlo?

Pero yo tengo experiencia con relojes de 5 atm que no me han dado problema tras salir del agua...

Como podemos clasificar la resistencia al agua de un reloj diciendo que es "válido para buceo sin botellas" ¿eso cuantos metros son? ¿Los menos de 2m que llegas cuando te tiras de cabeza a la piscina? ¿Los escasos 8-10m que bajo yo? ¿o la salvajada que bajan los pros en No-Limits (sobre los 200m)?
Las normas deberían ser claras y objetivas. Opino que los metros deberían ser reales y punto. Nada de interpretaciones, malos entendidos, etc.


¿Por favor si alguien sabe donde conseguir el texto íntegro de las normas (sin pagar claro) puede poner un link o mandar un MP? Me gustaría leermelas a fondo y hacer un post sobre ello. De momento solo tengo la versión de los diver's de Arabia Saudí, que parece ser una copia de la ISO, pero preferiría usar la fuente original.

Estoy contigo , tendrian que cambiar los criterios la gente (y es normal) relaciona 30 mts con la respuesta si yo no bajo tanto solo lo quiero para ducharme, cada maca pone lo que quiere , asi que tendrian que cambiar el sistema y poner metros reales o algo que no diera lugar a dudas

Totalmente de acuerdo

desconocia esta clasificacion, o sea que buceando con equipo a veces a mas de 30 mt. de profundidad, cosa que he hecho muy a menudo en los ultimos 20 años con mi Submariner Tudor de 200 mt. ha sido poco menos que una locura..............si lo hubiese sabido lo hubiese guardado solo para lavar el coche y fregar los platos.
En fin deberian ser mucho mas coherentes, un buzo con equipo puede bucear sin pasar de los 5 mt. de profundidad y un pescador en apnea muchas veces baja a mas 25 mt. (los que pueden).
En fin pense que habia una relacion directa entre la profundidad y su utilizacion.

Me parece que para la norma DIN sobre impermeabilidad resulta muy importante el tiempo de duracion de la inmersion del reloj en el agua, es decir, cuanto tiempo estara sometido a presion elevada, y es por ello que diferencia a un buceo de apnea, que solo dura unos pocos minutos cada vez, del buceo con equipo, que puede durar horas.

No se, siento llevar la contraria, algo que resista a una presion de 10 atm (por ejemplo) tiene que hacerlo simplemente sin ninguna variable de tiempo. Pongamos el caso contrario, una botella de submarinismo testada a 200 bares si la dejamos cargada con aire comprimido a esa presion al cabo de un tiempo X terminara perdiendo aire o explotando?

Que manía teneis de ahogar relojes, yo en la playa me dedico a ver chavalas, me da igual la hora que sea. Lo del submarinismo no lo toco con lo cual no se que relojes aguantan y a hasta que profundidad lo hacen; pero me temo que ese no mucho.

No se, siento llevar la contraria, algo que resista a una presion de 10 atm (por ejemplo) tiene que hacerlo simplemente sin ninguna variable de tiempo. Pongamos el caso contrario, una botella de submarinismo testada a 200 bares si la dejamos cargada con aire comprimido a esa presion al cabo de un tiempo X terminara perdiendo aire o explotando?

si en esto estoy de acuerdo , pero piensa que un reloj tiene diferentes materiales ,tipos de juntas diferentes y todos se comportan diferentes, y actuan diferentes ante cambios de temperaturas

Yo creo que no es cosa de darle muchas vueltas, los fabricantes etiquetan así y hay que saber lo que significa.
Por otra parte el garantizar una resistencia determinada creo que implica que el reloj en sí tolera bastante (o algo) más que eso. Creo que si alguien garantiza resistencia a 30 metros de profundidad sería muy extraño que a 33 metros "cascase". Por esto creo que la escala real de uso y profundidades admitidas no es tan restricitva como la presentan, aunque sí debe tenerse en cuenta y servir de guía. Probablemente un reloj de 50m (5 bar) sí que soporte nadar con él (a menos que seas Michael Phelps, que seguro que lo destrozaría...), pero si piensas hacerlo a menudo es posible que acabase dañado, cosa que a otro de 100m (10 bar) nunca debería ocurrirle.
Es cierto que le interpretación de los valores que dan es cuando menos poco intuitiva, pero una vez que se conocen ya no hay problema.

Creo que cualquier diver resiste el agua perfectamente. Lo de los metros es un poco relativo y yo creo que es para curarse en salud los fabricantes. Acabo de recibir un longines legend diver resistente 300m. y yo si que pienso sumergirme con él. Creo que en el precio están incluido estas ventajas. Me preocupan más los golpes que pueda darle que el agua que entre.
