Presentando mi Lanco Vintage

Hola a todos de nuevo. Hace un par de meses abrí un hilo en este foro pidiendo consejo acerca de un reloj relativamente antiguo, un Lanco de los años 60-70 que me regaló mi padre. Os pedí información del reloj, y también que me aconsejarais acerca de los arreglos que había que hacerle y si realmente merecía la pena. Pues bién, vistos los comentarios favorables, me animé a llevarlo al relojero para restaurarlo completamente y hacerle mantenimiento a la maquinaria.

Bueno, ahora os escribo otra vez para que veais como quedó y opineis, y también para ver si alguien tiene algo de informacion acerca del reloj (modelo, año de fabricación, donde se comercializó, etc), que por más que he buscado en google no encuentro nada, y me intriga mucho conocer su origen.

Ha quedado espectacular.:surprised: La esfera dorada y los indices con textura, lo hacen diferente. Queda muy elegante. La correa le queda perfecta.:bravo::great::great:



Solo un pero; me parce que a la máquina le falta el mecanismo de remonte automático. A efectos prácticos el reloj funciona dándole la "cuerda" con la corona, pero creo que era automático.

Hola enay, le faltan piezas porque en esas fotos todavía no está acabado, las fotos me las mandó el relojero para enseñarme como va quedando. Tengo una duda, la correa esa es de prueba, ¿le compro una igual a esa o otra diferente? yo estaba pensando en una de piel de cocodrilo de color negro ¿que les parece?.

Precioso ese Lanco, y te ha quedado impresionante. En cuanto a la correa, una de cocodrilo negro queda bien con todo, especialmente en los de esfera plata/blanca, pero en los dorados con esfera dorada quedan también muy bien las correas marrones, le dan cierta "vida" al reloj y un aire menos formal. La que tiene puesta, en mi opinión, le queda perfecta.

La correa marrón que has presentado, en mi opinión, queda mejor que negra.

Langendorf Watch Company SA

Lanco was the brand name of the Uhrenfabrik Langendorf SA, located in Langendorf, Switzerland, right in the middle of the Solothurn Canton. A certain family Kottmann from Solothurn (Langendorf isn't far) set up industrial production in 1842 there, and in 1873 a chicory factory was rebuilt to make ebauche for other companies, using between 70 and 80 workers. However, the company did not do well and almost collapsed in 1880. The number of workers had been drastically reduced and there were severe problems with alcoholism and absenteeism, such that the Kottmann family started putting up housing and training of their workers. In the middle of 1880, just before the company would have been liquidated, Kottmann was able to import specialists from western Switzerland, who were able to turn the company around. Orders flowed in, and production was expanded strongly. The company was considered to be a very socially oriented company, building schools, a hydrant system and financing the installation of electric lights in Langendorf, as well as putting up significant amounts of low-cost housing. He also founded the local "Verein" or club, which is still operating today. From 1887 onwards production was deepened and the company became largely independent of suppliers. Towards the end of the 1880s it was considered to be the largest clock factory in the world.

Karl Kottmann died in 1890 and the technical director, Lucien Tieche, took over the company. From this point on the company sold its products also under its own name (not Lanco, but Langendorf). In 1902 one of the Kottmann family took over the company once again.

The company started using the name Lanco (for Langendorf Company) sometime in the 1960s.

The company remained in family hands until 1964. A group of employees took over the company under the guidance of Guido Kottmann, and the company joined a conglomerate of watch makers (Schweizerischen Gesellschaft für Uhrenindustrie AG) in the face of weakening business in 1965.

In 1971 Lanco was merged into the Omega-Tissot Group, and production ended in 1973.
Lanco:

The "Lanco" brand was launched in the late 1950s. It soon became successful and known for fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Lanco watches are still considered to be of very high quality, and they are traded today as vintage watches.
A number of Lanco watches are famous, such as the "Flying Saucer" or the "Lanco-Fon", a manual-wound watch with an alarm function that was released in the 1960s.
When Lanco was revived in the 1970s, more variety was added to the product line. It became a brand with room for innovation and experimentation, including into digital watches. Many of the 1970s watches were relatively large sized for their time and this make them sought-after today. Watches from the 1970s such as "Club 77" and "Jump Hour" are also still quite popular.
After 1973, a number of movements from other suppliers were used for Lanco chronographs, the most famous calibers stemming from Valjoux and Angelus. A Lanco watch with the futuristic Tissot Astrolon movement (caliber 2250) was also produced in the 1970s.
During SSIH's financial problems in 1981, the Lanco brand name was sold. As of 1998, new Lanco watches are being sold in South Africa by S. Bacher & Company, under license from The Swatch Group

Te ha quedado muy bonito. Además, ahora se llevan así, con diferencias de brillos y mates y de apariencia vintage. El tuyo, encima, es un vintage de verdad. Un 10 le pongo.

Definitivamente, creo que le voy a comprar esa correa, estaba convencido en ponersela negra, pero vistos los comentarios de ustedes y lo bonito que se ve, creo que será esa su correa. Igual es una chorrada lo que voy a decir, pero había pensando en una correa negra porque me da la impresión de que es más facil de combinar con la ropa, pero no se, alomejor estoy diciendo una tontería ¿que pensais vosotros?.

Otra cosa, ¿alguien sabe el modelo del reloj o alguna información que me pueda ayudar a buscarlo? es que no hay manera de encontrar info sobre ese modelo en concreto, y mira que he buscado..

Bonito reloj, tiene una esfera preciosa, tengo un lanco, no es tan bonito como este, pero esta bien y en muy buenas condiciones, lo presentare cuando pueda hacerle fotos, que lo disfrutes un saludo.
